Acapulco Excursions

Acapulco is a legendary port, having survived Spanish conquistadors, hurricanes, the carousing of Hollywood's A-list actors and countless Spring Break revelers. But it's still here, and it remains a beautiful place. The Cruise Lines offer over 60 different excursions of this vivacious port city.

Your ship will dock at the Acapulco Cruise Ship Terminal pier at the north end of Acapulco Bay. The Cruise Ship Terminal is directly across from the Fort San Diego and a 5-minute walk to the Zocalo, Acapulco's historic downtown district. If you are taking one of the excursions below, you will be picked up at the Cruise Ship Terminal pier.

Ruins of Tehuacalco	4½ hours	Less than an hour from Acapulco, the Tehuacalco ruins provide a fascinating look back at Mexico's Mayan heritage. The ruins include the remains of a ball court, residential space and a holy temple. And the view of the surrounding mountains from the ruin is spectacular.
Silver City of Taxco	12 hours	The legendary silver city of Taxco lies on a hillside in the Sierra Madre mountains. Founded in 1528, Taxco retains much of its Colonial-era charm, with quaint streets, whitewashed buildings with tile roofs and a beautiful Baroque cathedral. Silver is king here, with over 200 silversmiths plying their trade. This is a journey you will long remember.
Historical Route of the Nation	5 hours	Take an exploration of the villages and towns of Guerrero that have historical significance. You'll visit the village of Texca, drive through the town of Piedra Iman, and then explore the village of La Providencia in the Sierra Madre mountains.
Art & History of Acapulco	4 hours	Experience some of the artistic and historical venues of this vibrant city.
